RTA partners with National Paints Factories for long-term metro station branding, highlighting public-private collaboration in Dubai’s transit ecosystem
In a strategic move underscoring the strength of Dubai’s public-private partnerships, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially renamed the Jebel Ali Metro Station to National Paints Metro Station, following a landmark 10-year naming rights agreement with National Paints Factories.
This initiative forms part of RTA’s broader naming rights programme, designed to enhance revenue streams and foster stronger engagement with the private sector while supporting the development of Dubai’s world-class public transportation network.
The newly named National Paints Metro Station, located on the Red Line of Dubai Metro, plays a key role as a vital commuter link serving both industrial zones and residential communities. With this rebranding, National Paints aims to increase brand visibility and reinforce its longstanding presence as a homegrown leader in the paint and coatings industry.
“Such collaborations reflect our vision to integrate the private sector in the development of Dubai’s infrastructure,” an RTA spokesperson noted. “It demonstrates the confidence of national companies in investing in long-term partnerships that contribute to the city’s growth.”
This rebranding is the latest in a series of high-profile station partnerships by RTA and follows successful agreements with other major regional and international companies. National Paints Factories, known for its wide range of industrial and decorative coatings, considers this deal a milestone in its commitment to national development and innovation.
The station’s visual transformation—including updated signage, digital branding, and wayfinding elements—is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks, with a formal inauguration ceremony to follow.
This 10-year branding initiative exemplifies Dubai’s dynamic approach to infrastructure development, where corporate sponsorship not only enhances urban mobility but also enriches the commuter experience.
