A Bahraini national, Mohamed Tareq Mohamed Akbar, has been crowned the latest dollar millionaire in Dubai Duty Free’s Millennium Millionaire draw — but the celebration is on hold as the winner remains unreachable. Akbar, based in Manama, is now the fourth Bahraini national to win the $1 million prize since the inception of the promotion in 1999. The draw took place at Dubai International Airport, where the news of his life-changing fortune was announced.

• Muhammad Atif, a 23-year-old Pakistani family driver based in Hail, Saudi Arabia, won a BMW F 900 GS Adventure motorbike. Amazingly, this was his first-ever entry. “I’m so lucky to win with my first ever ticket to Dubai Duty Free promotion,” he expressed with gratitude.
