Motorists to pay Dh6 during peak hours across Salik gates from June 5–8; multi-level parking remains paid while other public parking is free throughout the Eid holiday
As Dubai gears up for Eid Al Adha celebrations, Salik PJSC — the city’s toll gate operator — has confirmed that variable toll pricing will remain in effect from June 5 to 8, covering the entire four-day holiday period including Sunday, June 8, which marks the third day of Eid.
What to expect:
During peak hours — 6am to 10am and 4pm to 8pm — motorists will be charged Dh6 each time they pass through any of Dubai’s 10 Salik toll gates. During off-peak hours (10am to 4pm and 8pm to 1am), the toll rate is Dh4, while tolls are free from 1am to 6am. These charges mirror Salik’s regular weekday variable toll pricing structure, which was introduced on January 31, 2025.
Salik has reiterated that public holidays do not offer toll-free passage, maintaining the standard variable rate schedule instead.
Parking in Dubai during Eid:
To support residents and tourists, Dubai Municipality has made public parking free of charge across the city from June 5 to 8. However, it’s important to note that multi-level parking terminals will continue to operate as paid facilities throughout the Eid holiday.
Abu Dhabi parking and toll updates pending:
In Abu Dhabi, Q Mobility — the operator of the Darb toll gates and Mawaqif parking — has yet to announce its official Eid schedule. Typically, Darb tolls and Mawaqif parking are free on Sundays and public holidays, with Darb tolls only applicable during peak hours: 7am–9am and 5pm–7pm on regular days.
During the recent Eid Al Fitr, toll and parking fees in the capital were suspended and only resumed after the holiday concluded. This precedent suggests similar allowances may be in place for Eid Al Adha, although confirmation is still awaited.
Key Takeaways for Drivers This Eid:
Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and stay updated via official municipal and transport authority channels.
