Enhanced with air-conditioning and modern amenities, the revamped stations blend traditional maritime design with contemporary comfort to elevate Dubai’s marine commuting experience.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has successfully completed the first phase of an ambitious development project aimed at upgrading five key marine transport stations in the bustling Dubai Marina area. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the emirate’s ongoing commitment to modernising its marine transport infrastructure and raising service standards for commuters.
The five stations benefiting from these enhancements — Marina Promenade, Marina Terrace, Marina Walk, Marina Mall, and Marina Mall 1 — are now fully air-conditioned and fitted with state-of-the-art facilities designed to ensure passenger comfort and convenience.
Reflecting Dubai’s rich cultural heritage and maritime legacy, the station designs draw inspiration from traditional wooden ferries, blending innovative architectural elements with a modern commuting environment. This thoughtful integration offers residents and visitors a unique travel experience that honors the city’s history while embracing its futuristic vision.
This development is part of the RTA’s broader strategy to elevate marine transport services across Dubai, contributing to a seamless, comfortable, and efficient urban transit network. As Dubai continues to grow as a global city, these upgrades underscore the commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and enhancing the daily journeys of its residents.
Passengers can look forward to a refreshed, comfortable marine transport system that is both visually captivating and functionally advanced, setting new standards for the city’s waterborne mobility.
